uo-asda: ASDA gallery show at Laverne Krause

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all having a good break. I'm not sure who is going to get
this, since few people seem to check their UO email during the break,
but I just wanted to remind everyone that ASDA has been granted a show
at the Laverne Krause gallery winter term. It is scheduled for the
third week of the term. As it stands, we only have two confirmed
artists that are going to exhibit, and we need about three more. I
know from the meetings we held last term that quite a few of you are
interested. The theme, humans and technology, is fairly open to
interpretation. Maybe some of you would like to do some work
specifically for this show, and maybe some of you already have
completed work that would fit in. If you fall into either of these
categories, please do not hesitate to contact me. This is a great
opportunity to help strengthen ASDA as a club as well as the digital
arts at UO as a whole. Keep in mind that this is going to reflect on
our club, ourselves, and Digital Arts stu!
dents as a whole, so lets do what we can to make this is a killer show.

Thanks, and I hope all of your breaks/holidays are enjoyable.

asda-talk: Testing again

sorry

asda-talk: Just testing!

Testing the new list!

uo-asda: Project: cover design for philosophy journal

This just came to me. They are looking for someone who can put something together that is a little nicer than what they currently have. Here is a snippet from the email:

"An environmental philosophy journal is publishing a UO-based edition and wants to put an image of an intereactive drawing I did with an ant on the cover. They are very unhappy with the designer's uninspired efforts, and I suggested we look for a good digital arts student with a more sophisticated design sensibility. The image and text are ready, they just need to be tweaked into a better layout. I'll attach an image of the current layout, which is too busy."

You can see the current state of the project here:

If you are interested, contact the professor.

It looks like they want to get this done pretty quickly, so if you are interested you should respond very soon!

Good luck,
