uo-asda: Fwd: hiring graphics design student

Spring break job opportunity:

I am looking to hire a UO student as soon as possible with graphics
design skills to do the layout for a 15 page sustainable food
resource guide. Our text, graphics, and photos will be ready on
Friday, March 21. We have an example of another report we'd like to
model our guide after which I can show to interested students.

I expect the project will require 20 - 30 hours of work and it pays
$10/hr. This could be a neat spring break employment opportunity.

Interested students should contact me by email at smital@uoregon.edu
as soon as possible and send me examples of past work similar in scale.

Thanks,

Steve

> Hi. We're journalism students, and we're making a film. We have a
certain scene that requires some drawings. Our original artist bailed
on the project at the last minute, and now we're looking for someone
to fill that void. If there are any art students who can illustrate,
we'd love to hear from you. The drawings would be of a fight scene,
namely things we can't do in real life (e.g. an arm breaking, a foot
crashing into a face, etc.) We're looking for realistic body
proportions, but the violence can be stylish. We can talk more about
this part if you are interested.
>
> I have still images taken from the video we shot for the artist to
work from. I know it's the end of the term, and so payment for these
drawings is definitely an option. Also, your work would be screened
this Wednesday when we screen the film. We're also talking about
entering the film into a festival or two.

uo-asda: Fwd: Career Month Survey --An opportunity to get a step up on your future!

Hi all,

For those who are thinking about going to the Career Symposium, here is a chance to say what you would like to see there. I highly recommend that all of us have a say in this. It is a great way to start networking. I already know of some interesting business that are going to be there. To the Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors, it is a good idea to start early and make connections while you are still is school. Check it out!

Thanks and hope you all are having a good weekend!
